Customer Notice: Pod Shut Down

Dear Customers,

After a long battle to try and turn things around, we’re afraid to say that we’ve had to shut down the Pod Trackers business. This is obviously a big disappointment for everyone – we really tried to make the business succeed, but it just wasn’t enough in the end. We faced a number of challenges as a startup trying to build a global company and after a few unfortunate set-backs, we just weren’t able to recover.

We feel we built a good product and achieved some real traction with customers all over the world including a few big retail partners, but at the end of the day there were too many bumps in the road, the demand wasn’t as strong as we’d hoped and we didn’t execute well enough to overcome it all. There are certainly a number of things we could have done better and we learnt some hard lessons along the way. One of the good things to come out of it was the positive feedback we received from many of our customers who had a good experience. Due to some major technical issues and financial pressure, unfortunately we also let a lot of people down and we deservingly had our fair share of unhappy customers when things didn’t work out.

All services have been shut down and any subscription fees that were charged after the end of November 2019 had previously been refunded. As we have ceased operating, we sincerely apologise that there’s nothing more we can do for you from here.

All we can say is that from the bottom of our hearts, we’re truly sorry for letting you down. You put your faith in us and we’ve failed you.

We know this is not the news you were hoping for, but thank you for joining us on the Pod journey. It’s a shame it had to end too soon.

So sad to hear this news. I always had fantastic service from you and probably wouldn’t have my beautiful cat if it wasn’t for your tracker as we lost her once but found her using the pod.

I just wanted to say I was very sorry to hear this – it was a great concept and well designed product. We did have a few technical issues (probably mostly of our own making!) but even then, the customer support we received was second to none: your employees clearly believed in the product which is a testament to the company and management.

This is very sad news. I’ve been a happy client since the initial Indiegogo campaign back in 2014 and have found all my pods so useful in keeping my dog safe and well. There have been a few wobbles but overall I’m happy that I signed up and it’s a shame that it is ending. Just thought I’d drop you a line to send my thanks for the last 6 years and to wish everyone at Pod Trackers all the best for the future.

I’m so sorry you had to shut down. I loved your product!! I found my stubborn cats more times than I can count. My neighbors who love my cats would follow them on the app. It was quite entertaining for them. Yes sometimes the app would say the kitties were overseas but when it really mattered I could find them.
